Softball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for Gregori

Gregori won the last time they faced Turlock and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gregori Jaguars walked away with a 9-6 win over the Turlock Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Kaliyah Mauia and Angelina Hoffman did most of the damage at the plate: Mauia went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Hoffman scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Mauia a new career-high in hits. Audrey Pacheco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Gregori pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 8.73 strikeouts in those games compared to only four in the others. As for Turlock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gregori will take on Hughson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hughson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Turlock, they will face off against Downey at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Turlock is facing Downey at the right time seeing as Downey is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
