Softball Recap: Westmont Has No Trouble Against Los Altos

After only one run in their last match, Westmont made sure to put some runs up on the board against Los Altos on Tuesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Regan Steele spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Westmont let Rylin Yee and Quinn Corbett run wild. Yee went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI, while Corbett went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Marina Li was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Westmont back to even at 10-10. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
