Basketball Recap: Fullerton Skates Past Elba with Ease

There's no place like home for Fullerton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-15 win over the Elba Bluejays. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Fullerton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Maxfield led the charge by shooting 77% from the field to rack up 24 points. Thanks to that strong game, Maxfield now owns an excellent 48.3% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kane Wetovick, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and eight boards.

Fullerton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Elba, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Fullerton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bluejays: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
