Soccer Game Preview: Stevenson vs. Hersey + How To Watch

The Stevenson Patriots will face off against the Hersey Huskies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stevenson's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Stevenson is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Warren Township just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Stevenson came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Warren Township are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Hersey kept a clean sheet against Palatine on Monday. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time Hersey have beaten Palatine on their pitch since March 25, 2021.

Meschac Bryant and Darii Kishchak scored both of Hersey's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Stevenson's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Hersey, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-4.
