Basketball Game Preview: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Yutan Chieftains

The West Point-Beemer Cadets will take on the Yutan Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. West Point-Beemer will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

West Point-Beemer will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating North Bend Central, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cadets took down the Tigers 63-46 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Yutan got the win against Arlington on Tuesday by a conclusive 59-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chieftains have posted against the Eagles since December 10, 2019.

Yutan's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Point-Beemer, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

West Point-Beemer came out on top in a nail-biter against Yutan in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 47-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
