Football Game Preview: Thorsby Rebels vs. Randolph County Tigers + How To Watch

The Thorsby Rebels will face off against the Randolph County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Thorsby is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 31.5 points per game this season.

Thorsby is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Comer: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rebels blew the Tigers out of the water with a 55-6 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rebels had established a 43-point advantage.

Braylon Carroll had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 127 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 225 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those 225 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Lucas Jackson was in the mix too, providing Thorsby with two scores.

Meanwhile, Randolph County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 25-7 win over the Eagles.

Thorsby better keep an eye on Maruice Winston. He was instrumental in Randolph County's win, rushing for 165 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Winston is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 132 every time he's taken the field this season.

Randolph County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 172 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Thorsby's record now sits at 9-1. As for Randolph County, their record is now 8-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Thorsby has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 206.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Randolph County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 306.8 rushing yards.
