Keller faced Southlake Carroll in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians fell 3-1 to the Dragons. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Keller's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Scheiden, who had 14 digs and four assists. Scheiden is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carley Ward, who had 13 digs.

Southlake Carroll can attribute much of their success to Mariel Elizondo, who had 21 assists and ten digs. That's the most digs Elizondo has posted since back in September.

Keller's defeat dropped their record down to 27-5. As for Southlake Carroll, they pushed their record up to 24-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Keller has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Byron Nelson on the 14th. As for Southlake Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against V.R. Eaton on the 14th.
