Basketball Game Preview: Cainsville Redmen vs. North Nodaway Mustangs

The Cainsville Redmen will head out to take on the North Nodaway Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Nodaway took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cainsville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 15 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Cainsville finally turned things around against Breckenridge two weeks ago. They walked away with a 41-32 win over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, North Nodaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell to Worth County 27-23. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The victory got Cainsville back to even at 1-1. As for North Nodaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Cainsville was taken down by North Nodaway 64-16 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Cainsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
