Basketball Recap: Spring Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Spring had won two straight home games and Alayah Masters did her part to make it three on Wednesday. The Spring Lions breezed by the Aldine Mustangs to the tune of 55-24 thanks in part to Masters, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 18 points and five boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Saniyah Blackshire, who posted four points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Aldine still got an impressive performance from Leslie Monteon-Lopez, who had 13 points and four steals.

Spring is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-17 record this season. As for Aldine, they are on a 24-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.

As of now, neither Spring nor Aldine have any future games scheduled.
