Elkin kept a clean sheet against East Wilkes on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Cardinals. The result was nothing new for Elkin, who have now won 11 contests by five goals or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Elkin, bringing their record up to 14-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for East Wilkes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
