Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. South Caldwell Spartans

The Freedom Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the South Caldwell Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Freedom took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Hibriten, posting an 82-44 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, South Caldwell's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 80-61 to Watauga.

Freedom's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.0 points per game. As for South Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Freedom came out on top in a nail-biter against South Caldwell in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 94-92. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freedom since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
