Manteno had won six straight home games and Morgan Derrico did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Streator Bulldogs for which the team can thank Derrico, who had 13 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Manteno easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14.

Manteno's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Streator, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Manteno will challenge Herscher at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Streator, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Hall on the 27th.
