Softball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

If Lafayette was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Lake Charles College Prep on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lafayette Lions lost 9-2 to the St. Louis Catholic Saints on Friday. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1. As for St. Louis Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Covington on the 8th. As for St. Louis Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-4 defeat against Rayne on the 8th.
