Softball Recap: Abbott Comes Up Short

After flying high against Frost last Saturday, Abbott came back down to earth. The Abbott Panthers came up short against the Whitney Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Abbott saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Syndey Balderas, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Olivia Stalker also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Abbott's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Whitney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Abbott Panthers duke it out with Hubbard Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitney will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Clifton at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
