Recap: Jefferson Patriots vs. Adamson Leopards
This season hasn't been kind to the Jefferson Patriots, who are still winless after their seventh game. They took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adamson on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Adamson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Menjivar, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Menjivar also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. Jeremiah Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Jefferson's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Adamson, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Jefferson will take on Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jefferson in Texas (Wilson is ranked 639th, while Jefferson is ranked 1502nd). As for Adamson, they will head out on the road to face off against South Oak Cliff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
