Volleyball Recap: Trinity Valley Trojans vs. Azle Hornets
Trinity Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Azle Hornets. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Trinity Valley took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. After all that action, the final score was 21-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-12.
Heather Lockridge was nothing short of spectacular for Azle: she had 29 digs and two aces.
Trinity Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Azle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Valley will host Fort Worth Country Day at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Azle, they will face off against Fossil Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Azle will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
