Cony had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Oceanside Mariners. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-4 back in April.

Cony's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Oceanside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cony will welcome Nokomis at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oceanside, they will host Medomak Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
