Royse City came into Friday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Forney Jackrabbits on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Jackrabbits back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

One reason for the win was Royse City's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-14.

Forney's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tatum Smith, who had 17 digs and four assists. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Royse City's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 22-15. As for Forney, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-19.

Royse City has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Longview on the 7th. As for Forney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Rockwall-Heath on the 7th.
