Softball Recap: West Greene Takes a Loss

West Greene couldn't beat South Greene on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Buffaloes came up short against the Rebels, falling 21-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 two weeks ago.

Hayley Arnold made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Addison Peters was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

West Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South Greene, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, West Greene is taking a road trip to challenge Unaka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rangers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for South Greene, they will host North Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
