Volleyball Recap: Springfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Springfield hadn't done well against Manchester recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Spartans came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Springfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Manchester lost, don't look at Saige Rankin. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Manchester, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Springfield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Streetsboro at 6:30 p.m. As for Manchester, they will venture away from home to challenge Triway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
