Basketball Recap: East Rutherford Comes Up Short

East Rutherford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 61-47 fall against the Brevard Blue Devils. The Cavaliers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 66-64.

East Rutherford's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Brevard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Rutherford won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against R-S Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in R-S Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Brevard, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Patton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
