Baseball Recap: Medina Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Medina Christian Academy lost against Tuslaw back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Landers put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Landers was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, D.J. Reidl was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Medina Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Tuslaw, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medina Christian Academy will square off against Rittman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Tuslaw, they will face off against United at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
