Basketball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

If Cambridge was feeling good fresh off their 59-24 takedown of Harrison Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cambridge Bobcats took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Clairsville Red Devils on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for St. Clairsville, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Cambridge and St. Clairsville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cambridge will try to stop John Glenn's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Clairsville will challenge Smithville and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
