Basketball Game Preview: Oakwood Academy Mustangs vs. Pisgah Eagles

The Oakwood Academy Mustangs will head out to square off against the Pisgah Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Oakwood Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Pisgah will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Monday, Oakwood Academy strolled past Woodville with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Oakwood Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Bruklyn Dublin, who went 12 of 15 on her way to 25 points along with six steals and five boards, and Charity Jarman, who went 8 of 13 en route to 17 points along with six boards and three steals. Dublin is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Joanna Caldwell was another key player, putting up four points.

Meanwhile, Pisgah's undefeated season came to an end after three games last Monday. They took a 68-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ider. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Oakwood Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Pisgah, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
