St. Augustine is a perfect 3-0 against Warren Easton since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The St. Augustine Purple Knights will face off against the Warren Easton Fighting Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Augustine barely beat De La Salle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. St. Augustine put the hurt on De La Salle with a sharp 19-3 victory on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Purple Knights considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Ivell Oatis looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, St. Augustine got a massive performance out of Bryce Robinson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Robinson has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jayden Jackson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

St. Augustine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, everything went Warren Easton's way against Benjamin Franklin on Saturday as Warren Easton made off with a 7-1 win. The Fighting Eagles haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The win made it two in a row for St. Augustine and bumps their season record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Warren Easton, their record is now 6-4.

St. Augustine was able to grind out a solid victory over Warren Easton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Augustine since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
