Basketball Recap: Harpursville Comes Up Short

Harpursville played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats and fell 56-25. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Jayslin Henderson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten steals for Bainbridge-Guilford. That's the most steals Henderson has posted since back in January. Chandler Benjamin was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Harpursville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-2.

Harpursville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Otselic Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-11 victory against Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton on the 28th.
