North Mason takes loss despite strong performances from Andrew Littrean and Carter Smith

Recap: North Mason Bulldogs vs. North Kitsap Vikings

The North Mason Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 92-48 defeat at the hands of North Kitsap. While losing is never fun, North Mason can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while North Kitsap is ranked 19th).

North Mason's loss came despite strong showings from Carter Smith and Andrew Littrean. Smith scored 12 points, while Littrean scored eight points along with two steals. Smith continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Cole McCormick was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

North Mason has not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for North Kitsap, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

North Mason will be playing in front of their home fans against Neah Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neah Bay is coming into the match with eight straight wins on the road, so North Mason is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. North Kitsap does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
