McEwen extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping them up to 23-7-2. They never let the Houston County Fighting Irish get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Give the Warriors' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

As for Houston County, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Houston County's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brilee Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
