Preview: Palmetto Christian Academy vs. Pinewood Prep Panthers
Palmetto Christian Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Pinewood Prep Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 269th, while Pinewood Prep is ranked 67th).
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Palmetto Christian Academy beat Pee Dee Academy 50-46.
Palmetto Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clay Chakeris, who scored eight points along with five assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Chakeris grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Shaw, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Pinewood Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ashley Ridge on Monday, but they still walked away with a 39-35 victory.
Palmetto Christian Academy's record is now 3-10. Pinewood Prep's record is now 16-8.
Palmetto Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Pinewood Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 59-57. Can Palmetto Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
