Basketball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

Commerce fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Southeast on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Southeast Lancers 56-51. The Tigers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Eliz White, who posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Camryn Sanders was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Southeast, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Commerce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast, they will face off against Galena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
