Basketball Game Preview: New Lexington Panthers vs. Philo Electrics

The New Lexington Panthers will face off against the Philo Electrics at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Saturday, New Lexington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-31 to West Muskingum. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Defeat or not, New Lexington got some senior leadership from Chloe Dick and Makenzy McCoy. Dick went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points and five boards, while McCoy posted six points and seven steals. Dick's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Meanwhile, Philo suffered their biggest loss since January 8th on Saturday. They were outmatched by Tri-Valley and fell 54-27.

Philo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for New Lexington, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
