It was fun while it lasted, but Burlington's undefeated season came to an end after four games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rocky Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shelby Wambeke, who posted ten points along with eight steals and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Wambeke is now averaging an impressive 2.8 steals per game. Tarynn Schoening was another key player, putting up 11 points and three blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burlington fell to 4-1. As for Rocky Mountain, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Meeteetse at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Rocky Mountain will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Powell at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
