Basketball Recap: Gavin Morse Key Part of Team Effort in Cardinals Win

There's no place like home for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hemlock Huskies with a sharp 46-25 win on Thursday. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Morse, who posted eight points and four steals. Those four steals gave Morse a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Salgat, who had 11 points and four steals.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. Hemlock's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Coming up, Michigan Lutheran Seminary will be taking part in a tournament against Merrill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hemlock, they will take on Ithaca in a tournament on Wednesday.
