Softball Recap: Duncanville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Benbrook two weeks ago, Duncanville came back down to earth. The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes fell just short of the Texas Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Panthers and Pantherettes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Duncanville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacie Patterson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Patterson also racked up two hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024.

Duncanville's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Texas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Duncanville will be taking part in a tournament against Grand Saline at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Texas, they will take on Queen City in a tournament on Friday.
