Baseball Game Preview: Shamrock Irish vs. Claude Mustangs

For the second straight game, Shamrock will face off against Claude. The Irish will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Shamrock took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Claude, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Irish narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 11-9. Considering the Irish's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

For Claude's part, Brooks Myers and Dk Robison stepped up to the plate in a big way. Myers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Robison went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those hits were Robison's first of the season. Brady Shelton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Claude's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Shamrock, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.
