Volleyball Recap: Cheraw Takes a Loss

After flying high against Walsh on Friday, Cheraw came back down to earth. The Wolverines came up short against the Simla Cubs on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Wolverines have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-18, 25-16.

Tinley Leake paced Cheraw's offense, picking up five kills. Leake got some help from Adisyn Miell and her six assists. Finally, Bristyl Barratt kept Cheraw's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Cheraw's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Simla, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Cheraw has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Fleming on the 25th. As for Simla, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Monument Academy on the 28th.
