Volleyball Recap: Millard's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Juan, Millard was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Carbon Dinos. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 19 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 22 assists. Bassett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Carbon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Becky Black, who had eight digs.

Millard's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Carbon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Millard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Delta on the 19th. As for Carbon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Stansbury on the 19th.
