East Butler and Cedar Bluffs are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. East Butler has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 25.

It was a proper cat-fight when East Butler faced off against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Thursday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-16, 25-14.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Cedar Bluffs and Mead, and Mead kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cedar Bluffs sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 13-25, 25-21.

Cedar Bluffs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for East Butler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

East Butler couldn't quite get it done against Cedar Bluffs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
