Basketball Game Preview: Wauseon Indians vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

Having just played yesterday, the Wauseon Indians will get right back to it and host the Anthony Wayne Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Wauseon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Archbold, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne entered their tilt with Columbian on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Tornadoes by a score of 62-49. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wauseon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Anthony Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
