Recap: Stone Bridge Bulldogs vs. Massaponax Panthers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Stone Bridge Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over Massaponax. The win was nothing new for Stone Bridge as they're now sitting on six straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stone Bridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Na?eem Abdul-rahim gladding, who picked up 183 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Abdul-rahim gladding was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Pena, who threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Stone Bridge pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points per game. As for Massaponax, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.

Stone Bridge will look to defend their home field on Friday against Briar Woods at 1:00 p.m. Briar Woods is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Massaponax does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
