Volleyball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Turtle Lake Lakers. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lakers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 24-26, 25-14.

Turtle Lake found their leader in sophomore Destiney Osumi, who had 18 digs and two aces. Those 18 digs set a new season-high mark for Osumi.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Turtle Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will challenge Siren at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Turtle Lake and Northwood will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
