Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Eagles vs. Crawford Pirates
The Bruceville-Eddy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Crawford by a score of 42-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bruceville-Eddy of the 49-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Bruceville-Eddy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lance Bailey. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bailey has scored all season. Ashton Rosas was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Bruceville-Eddy's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Crawford, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Bruceville-Eddy will head out on the road to take on Rosebud-Lott at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Crawford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
