Basketball Game Preview: Fort Mill Yellow Jackets vs. Northwestern Trojans

The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets will take on the Northwestern Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fort Mill has eight straight victories, Northwestern has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Fort Mill made easy work of Rock Hill and carried off a 60-36 win. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Fort Mill found their leader in freshman Jermier Nelson, who went 10 of 13 en route to 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Wallace Campbell was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Northwestern ended up a good deal behind Clover on Friday and lost 55-40.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Fort Mill, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

Everything went Fort Mill's way against Northwestern when the teams last played back in January, as Fort Mill made off with a 62-37 win. Does Fort Mill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwestern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
