Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. King Wolves

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against King. The Huskies will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m.

Centennial is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against King on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves.

For King's part, Jason Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Jones has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adan Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

With the victory, King broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-11. As for Centennial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
