Recap: Churchill County Greenwave vs. Lowry Buckaroos
The Churchill County Greenwave lost to the Lowry Buckaroos back in February of 2023, but the Churchill County Greenwave didn't allow the Lowry Buckaroos the same satisfaction on Friday. Churchill County came out on top against Lowry by a score of 62-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Churchill County.
Brady Alves continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Baylor Sandberg, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Several Buckaroos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kasyn Garner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Garner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Matthew Casalez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
The victory got Churchill County back to even at 9-9. As for Lowry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchill County will challenge Fernley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fernley will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Lowry, they will head out on the road to take on Dayton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Dayton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
