Basketball Recap: McGregor Comes Up Short

If McGregor was riding high fresh off their 43-19 takedown of Holland last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McGregor Bulldogs were beaten by the Gatesville Hornets 53-18 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

McGregor's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Gatesville, their record is now 11-6.

McGregor will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Texas Christian at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. As for Gatesville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Belton at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
