Football Recap: Fleming County Comes Up Short

If Fleming County was feeling good fresh off their 43-0 takedown of Lewis County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers were dealt a 63-28 defeat at the hands of the East Carter Raiders on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

Fleming County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for East Carter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Fleming County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bath County at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for East Carter, they will face off against Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
