Basketball Recap: North White Comes Up Short

North White played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 58-33 to the West Central Trojans. The Vikings were down 50-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, North White saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Katy Westerhouse posted seven points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Westerhouse a new career-high in boards.

Even though they lost, North White smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

West Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kailee Bishop, who put up ten points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Mellon, who earned 11 points.

North White is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for West Central, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

North White wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 35-28 loss against Pioneer on the 12th. As for West Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-30 win against South Newton on the 13th.
