Volleyball Recap: San Gorgonio Spartans vs. Fontana Steelers
San Gorgonio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Fontana Steelers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Steelers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.
The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-12.
Fontana was led to victory by Anthony Camacho and Xavier Orozco. Camacho had 11 digs and two aces, while Orozco had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Camacho has posted over his last six matchups. Juan Campos also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
San Gorgonio's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Fontana, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.
