There's no place like home for Ionia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Olivet Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

While Ionia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-23, 25-14.

Logan Thomas paced Ionia's offense, picking up 17 kills. Thomas got some help from Grace Droste and her 25 assists. Amaya Frias controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ionia's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Olivet, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ionia will welcome Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Olivet, they will host Eaton Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
